COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP
SPECIAL EVENTS:
We take community involvement seriously because it is an essential element in making our tours unique and effective.
A SideWalk Fundraiser creates revenue and marketing for your cause, while fostering understanding and communication between your organization and its community.

Our tours also make exciting and unique WEDDING and BIRTHDAY events, or other special occasion activities. The base price of these tours is $200. The base price includes the research and designing of the route, the tour itself, and one rain date in the event of inclement weather during the first scheduled event. Depending on the specific event, the total fee is variable and can be reduced by:

  • cross-promotion
  • running your event during the week
  • revenue-sharing (if charging for the event)
  • handling your own marketing and/or ticket sales
  • requesting tour routes and themes that are posted on our website
Proposals and price estimates are provided upon submission of the form at the bottom of our Calendar page. Once a date and price is agreed upon, a 50% deposit is due immediately, and the remaining 50% is to be paid on the day of the event. Once your tour runs, it can be duplicated at a reduced rate.

COLLABORATIONS:

If your business or organization wants to collaborate with Gotham SideWalks, it can be a great opportunity for cross-promotion and community enrichment. We offer two options:

A tour PARTNER helps develop OR promote the tour.
A tour SPONSOR helps develop AND promote the tour.

Each tour will eventually have 1 Sponsor, and numerous Partners.
Some ways to collaborate include:
-Offering hospitality or information during tours
-Offering research or resources that contribute to tour development
-Coordination of your events with our tours

We look forward to your ideas. Email GothamSideWalks@gmail.com, or propose an event through the form on our Calendar page.
NEW NEWS:
Our first overseas partner is based in Italy! Excursions in Tuscany runs like-minded bike and walking tours--both full and half day--around Florence and the rest of Tuscany. We hope to give detailed, first-hand reports on these tours soon!

Back at home, we've enjoyed our partnership with MyHome, Brooklyn, an innovative real estate company specializing in community sensitive, personalized development in landmarked districts in Brooklyn. Both of our companies have been excitedly watching the emergence of Brooklyn Bridge Park. We hope to run tours connecting the Park and DUMBO (the historic "Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass" neighborhood) later this summer.

Gotham SideWalks has partnered with Ride Brooklyn bike shop to make bike rentals for our tours easy and affordable. There is also an amazing Brooklyn Baseball history website that compliments the baseball tour quite nicely (with a unique selection of Brooklyn Baseball t-shirts for sale as well). Special thanks to the Old Stone House in Park Slope for being excellent partners of our BIKE BROOKLYN BASEBALL tour.

We've also partnered with the Educational Alliance Art School and the Lo-Down Blog for special walking tours of Lower East Side Art Galleries. For these tours, students of the Art School are FREE!

The Lo-Down was recently recognized as one of the top blogs in NYC by The Village Voice. It provides viewers with news, art coverage and features about the Lower East Side they can't find anywhere else- online or in print. The Lo-Down is updated every few hours and is an excellent source for what's happening downtown.

So far, other partners along our routes include:
-100B on the Lower East Side, has been a big hit with tour groups, showing behind the scenes look at street art and its process
-Marissa Alperin's Art Studio is a great place to pick up unique jewelry, but doubles as a time warp to an old waterfront grocery
-The Inn on Second, a bike-friendly Inn located in a great area of Brooklyn and housed in a fabulous, 19th century brownstone
-At Home in Brooklyn, a beautiful new B & B housed in a 1919 Tutor-styled shell that faces Prospect Park and Brooklyn Library
-Green Depot, a business dedicated to sustainable living located in an old YMCA on the Bowery in the Lower East Side
-The Fusion Arts Museum, an art gallery showing cutting-edge experimental art on the Lower East Side
-St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church, an 19th century Episcopal Church dedicated to music and community in Brooklyn Heights
-Morrison Hotel Gallery, the site of the old CBGB's, and current home to a photography gallery that specializes in rock & roll
